Internal and External

There are two primary types of visualization that we will be talking about. Whether internal or external methods are used, the central idea is the same.

Internal

Internal types of imagery are going to be from your own point of view. This is the more common of the two choices presented here.

Think about playing baseball. You hit a home run and win the game. Picture yourself throwing your arms in the air as you cross home plate, jumping in the air and feeling all of the excitement that comes along with that. This is an image that is from your own point of view, you see everything through your own eyes and you feel everything that you are feeling in the experience.
